Western Marine Wins Large Government Contract

 

We are pleased to announce we have recently been awarded a large contract by the Irish Government's Department of Defence. The contract involves the supply of a quantity of 10 Zodiac RIBs, complete with 50Hp 4 Stroke outboards, trailers etc. The boats will be used by the Civil Defence, and will be deployed at 10 strategic locations around the coast of Ireland, each under the command of the local Civil Defence Officer. The Civil Defence chose Zodiac PRO Pack 470 boats which feature Zodiac's 2 man side by side upholstered seating (541274) and separate steering console (541420). A number of additions were made to the standard specification, including fitting Zodiac Over Pressure Relief valves to every chamber of each boat, Zodiac stainless steel Roll Bars (541167), an anchor locker, windscreen etc. The boats have recently undergone rigorous testing at sea as our photos show and, having passed with flying colours, were delivered to the Civil Defence ahead of schedule.
