McMurdo has broken new ground in developing technically advanced equipment for safety at sea with the G4 EPIRB. Designed specifically to meet the needs of commercial shipping, the G4 features an internal 12 channel parallel GPS receiver within a compact 406 EPIRB.
Using the latest Cospas-Sarsat satellite constellation, the G4 provides an instant EPIRB alert to search and rescue services. The vessel's details, together with latitude and longitude bearings, are signalled to rescue services thus avoiding lengthy searches.
The benefit of the internal GPS is that the position information is continually updated providing an accurate position even when the EPIRB has been activated and is floating at sea. As with all McMurdo products the 406 GPS EPIRB is fully compliant with international legislation and meets Worldwide approval standards. |

of 2 hour duration, operating range of -1Deg.C to +30Deg.C. All except the Argus are constant lights with batteries sealed into them and a 5 year storage life. The Argus is a flashing ligh t and replaceable batteries last approx. 1 year unused. All meet IMO and SOLAS requirements, and all are DOT accepted |

 Two light assemblies are offered - one internal and one external. Each requires the addition of the pull cord activated RB2 battery, which has a storage life of 5 years, and useful operating temperature range of -30 Deg.C to +60Deg.C. Both lights are designed to provide 12 hours of constant light. The exterior light (RL2) has 2 mile visibility and the interior light (RL1) 0.5 cd. The battery is automatically activated on inflating the liferaft but has manual on/off control. |

 Two DOT (UK) approved models are offered for the commercia l market. The L8S is a water activated light with slim line 5 year replaceable battery, which measures 110x26x12mm, and weighs 33g. The LJ1 is pull cord activated with a 5 year non replaceable battery, which is 89x32x21mm and weighs 53g. Both have an operating range of -1Deg.C to +30Deg.C. Recommended for pleasure or commercial use.
