the system to the vessel, requires taking account of hull type, type and total
power of engine(s), number of rudders, etc.
These factors determine the choice
of cylinder required and the helm is then matched to the cylinder. The full range

The helm pump is the heart of a hydraulic steering system. SeaStar helm pumps
are the product of many years of research
and experience by the worlds foremost builder of manual hydraulic steering
systems. SeaStar helms feature maximum steering comfort engineered into a compact,
stylish design incorporating easy-access filling. All helms include hose elbows
and tube fittings, steering wheel lock nut/woodruff key and mounting hardware.
SeaStar offers helms for front mounting, rear mounting behind the dash, adjustable
tilt helms and Capilano helms with adjustable number of wheel turns. The front
mount helms are most popular and dimensions for these are shown below. |
