This is the size recommended by Irish Water Safety for use in areas where the public may be required to throw a lifebuoy to a person in distress in the water.

It is widely used by County Councils, City Councils, Urban District Councils, Harbour Authorities etc.

Made of tough hardwearing plastic material.

Can be bolted directly onto any flat surface e.g. walls or posts with flat sides, or even onto round poles using suitable mounting hardware.

Raised front panel prevents Ringbuoy falling out, and shelf at base supports both the Ringbuoy itself as well as the rope. Perfect for 18" Ringbuoys.

FLOATING LIFEBUOY ROPES

Irish Water Safety recommends a rope length of 25m as a general rule, but up to 30m length for Ringbuoys mounted on bridges in tidal estuaries. As a guideline for Ringbuoys mounted on bridges, the suggested rope length can be calculated as the height of the bridge above the average low tide water level, plus 10m. Lifebuoy lines should always be high visibility colour, and Irish Water Safety recommends a Yellow and Red colour combination line.
