Zodiac Helps Flood Relief Recent flooding in many parts of Ireland caused widespread disruption to people's lives, and extensive damage to property. Areas worst hit included parts of Cos Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon,
and Westmeath, with Cork City, and the towns of Clonmel Co Tipperary,
and Carlow also badly hit.
Emergency services worked round the clock to provide assistance to those in need, and many people have reason to be grateful to the volunteers of the Civil Defence, as well as the Army, Gardaí, and Fire Services. The Civil Defence have an extensive fleet of Zodiac RIBs and Inflatable Boats, spread out across many units, all over the country. Our photo, taken from the official Civil Defence website, shows a Zodiac Grand Raid in service with South Tipperary Civil Defence, helping to rescue flood relief victims from their flooded homes in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
